Simon Assaf specializes in the acquisition and disposition of car wash, gas station, and automotive businesses and real estate. With a focus on M&A, he has successfully transacted more than $900 million since joining Matthews™. His deep knowledge of the space and its buyer universe allows him to create value for clients of every size, from individual startups and first-time operators to multi-state portfolios, including strategic platform acquisitions.

Through M&A, Simon positions companies to achieve growth, strengthen their competitive standing, and maximize value for owners and investors. As a sale-leaseback expert, he advises operators on freeing up capital to reinvest in growing their portfolios. His streamlined process keeps every transaction moving from valuation through closing.

Simon is known for his client relationships. He has earned the respect of some of the industry’s largest developers, operators, and syndicators, and some of the nation’s largest REITs have both bought and sold through him. His network gives clients direct access to capitalized buyers. He aided and led the expansion of Matthews™ into the Phoenix market.
